Abstract
China had a large number of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and they occupied
a pivotal position in the country's economic development, and particularly played an important
role in promoting technical progress, improving the economic environment, creating job
opportunities and increasing national income. In recent years, the SMEs faced a fund shortage
problem. Meanwhile, difficult financing problem for SMEs had became an important bottleneck
restricting its development.
At the same time, along with the flirther narrow profit between depositing and lending, the
fierce competition among commercial bank, the increasing financing channels for enterprises and
financial disintermediation in the market, these factors leaded commercial banks to face
unprecedented challenges in the market. In this economic situation, commercial banks must
change the credit crunch attitude towards SMEs credit business, and then find, cultivate and
develop SMEs with good credit standing. It's clear that the research into risk management for
SMEs credit business is positive.
This article was divided into five chapters. Firstly, it described the background, the
significance, the content and the research methods for this article, and then mentioned the current
financing situation for SMEs in China, as well as the risk management theory of commercial bank
credit business, and make use of matrix analysis to analyse the game playing between private
enterprises and commercial banks. Furthermore, it introduced the risk assessment system of Bank
A credit business, analyzed the X-packaging company case, and then found many problems in the
risk management for Bank A SMEs credit business, such as the lack of after credit management
mechanism, the backward credit risk review assessment methods and etc. Moreover, it put forward
the strategy optimizing credit Risk Management for Bank A SMEs credit business in order to
improve Bank A risk management level. Finally, it summarized the conclusions of this article and
looked to the future research directions.
