CHUNG Acknowledgement This is the first research project where I systematically investigated on a scientific and engineering topic. It was quite an enjoyable and memorable experience that I worked with nice people and conducted interesting research. The genuine advice I receive and lessons I learn from this project will help pave the way for my further studies as a graduate student. Therefore I take this chance to acknowledge each of them who have helped me and contributed to this project. First and foremost, I express my sincerest gratitude to my supervisor, Dr. C. Y. Chung, who provided me with such an interesting topic, and whose advices and encouragement have guided me to look at the problem from a wider perspective. Secondly, I owe my thanks to Prof. Lawrence Wu whom I discussed my progress with and received feedback from. I also wish to thank Jianqiu DENG and Zhouguang LU, who patiently demonstrated the use of equipments for me and generously shared with me their experience and ideas in their specialties. In additio
