OnbehalfofKPMGConsultingwearepleasedtosubmitthisproposaltoGeneralMotors(GM)forthePlan&DefinephaseoftheVehicleIncentiveManagementSystem(VIMS)project.TheproposaladdressestherequirementsoutlinedinGM’sRFPdatedMay8,2002forconsultingassistanceincompletingthePlanandDefineportionsofthisprocessre-engineeringandsystemsdevelopmentproject,includingassistanceindevelopingbidpackagesforthefollow-onphaseactivities.
GMhasbeenveryaggressiveandfocusedinitseffortstowinmarketshare.GM’sincentivestrategyhasbeenakeyfactorinyoursuccessatleadingthemarketinpricingandboostingyouroverallmarketshareinthepastyear.WeunderstandthatincentivesareoftremendousimportancetoGMandtherefore,theabilitytoefficientlymanageandadministerincentiveprogramsiscritical.Wealsounderstandthatcost-effectiveandtime-effectiveincentivemanagementisacriticalstrategyforincreasingGM’sabilitytoaggressivelyutilizeincentivestocapturemarketshare.

Approach–KPMGConsultingisaprovenleaderinprojectmanagementskillswithaprovenmethodologythatensurestiming,costandqualityareachievedthroughouttheproject.WeunderstandGM’sSystemDevelopmentProcess(SDP-21)andwillcomplywiththisframework.Oneofourteammembers(FeisalPatel)actuallyhelpeddevelopkeytemplatesusedinSDP-21andwillensurethattheentireteamleveragestheprocessfully.KPMGConsulting’sProjectManagementMethodology(PMM)isintegratedwithSDP-21inordertoencompasstheorganizationaltransformationandchangemanagementaspectsforthisproject.
