Relationship to Dong Da Street- financial street, Wall Street of Chengdu.
Poor quality development at the eastern edge of site.
Daci Temple, located within important culture precinct to the north of site.
Two important pedestrian malls are located to the west of our site. (within a ten minutes by walk)
KEY OBJECTIVES
The principle objectives guiding the overall landscape design approach include;
Establish strong visual links between the periphery landscape and the retail plazas.
Establish a unique contemporary landscape environment, which relates to context of the development.
Establish a consistent quality and character throughout the overall development, while identifying a unique character to enhance a sense of place.
Introducing a clear hierarchy of open space: delineating areas of public, semi-public and semi-private use.
“Organic Orthogonal”
The landscape concept is inspired by the structural qualities of the architectural geometry.
This approach establishes a strong relationship between the expression of the architecture and the landscape language.
This interplay of the two elements works to create a cohesive solution to this distinctive development in Chengdu
