Abstract
Psychological consulting is an important field of career in modern
society. The standardization and development of its occupational behavior
have great impact on people’s mental health and benefits. During the social
transform and economic shift, people’s psychological qualities are largely
challenged by the fast changing social and economic environment. With the
swift development of psychological diseases, there occurs a large demand for
psychological consulting industry. Statistics indicate that psychological
consultant ranks No. 8 among the most competitive talents in 2010 and will
become a hot career in this century. However at present, this industry in
China is far lagging behind the advanced countries. There was no uniform
management system and qualification and criteria for the practitioner weren’t
efficiently supervised. What’s more, not only psychological consultants are
quite scarce but also their professional quality needs great improvement.
Therefore, psychological consulting will be a growing industry in China.
In this report systematic thinking、investigation、research and analysis
are conducted on the current situation of psychological consulting industry.
